“I knew coming into 2011, I wanted to lose weight. The last time I considered myself healthy was in 1994 when I was playing college football. After college, I was lucky if I would go to the gym 2 or 3 times per month and the majority of those workouts didn’t last more than 20 minutes. I would run a mile in 16 to 17 minutes huffing and puffing the whole way. I kept trying to get in shape for years but was never successful, until I signed up to train with Emily.

I started personal training the first week of January weighing in at 263 lbs. I felt the challenge in my strength and endurance immediately; however, each week just got better for me. I started strength training, intensifying my cardio workouts and in turn, the weight started falling off. Emily designed my workouts weekly and the results have shown. She introduced me to interval training and it made such a difference. Don’t get me wrong, there were workouts that I couldn’t finish because I felt like I was close to passing out, but I kept exercising every single day, 5 to 6 times a week, sometimes even twice per day!

6 months later, I have lost 70 lbs and for the first time in 15 years, I am under 200 lbs, all from Emily’s guidance and motivation. I completed my first-ever 5K race in 26 minutes (8:30 minute mile). Not bad for a 41-year old!” – Eric, Petaluma, CA

“When my husband and I got engaged in June of 2008 and set our wedding date for April 2009, I knew I needed help getting into shape. I wanted to lose 10lbs, but more importantly, I just wanted to feel toned and confident in my wedding dress. As soon as I started working out with Emily I knew she would help me reach my goal.

Emily was caring, patient and fun to have as my trainer. She knew the best ways to push me and make me want to come back again. She was very knowledgeable and always changed up the workouts so they never got boring. Not only did she kick my butt every session, but we also laughed – a lot – and developed a great friendship.

    Words can’t describe how amazing it was to have Emily as a trainer. For almost 3 years in New York Emily worked with me to reach my fitness goals. I felt and looked the best I ever have in my life. She was knowledgable, professional and fun. She worked with me through my pregnancy and I know that it is because of working with her that I was able to lose all of my pregnancy weight gain in less than 2 months after having my baby. I miss her terribly but I still use many of the practices that she taught me and I know that if I ever need any advice or a kick in the ass, she’s just a phone call (or an email) away.
